-Subject: Tattooer exercise.
One physical requirement for tattooers which is critical would be your grip strength. It determines how long and how well you can control your machine, I’ve been working out before I became a tattooer before I observed that I could work for way longer hours then my peers, Then I asked them what’s wrong, they’d say their hand is sore and can’t hold the machine anymore. By having a stronger grip you can work for more hours which means more money for you too! So let’s see what workouts can you improve your grip strength.
1.Get a grip trainer. A grip trainer are these little machines you can hole in one hand and squeeze. For each training section do 15 reps for 3 sets for reach hand. I notice the fore arm could be trained more regularly, You can do these from 1-3 times per day depending on how you are feeling.
2.Hang on a pull up bar. Get to the park and hang on the pull up bar for as long as you can. it’s a very challenging one so don’t get disheartened if you can’t hang for too long. Do 3 reps for as long as you can for each section.
3.Dumbbell carries. Pick a challenging weight for you, pick up the dumbbell and walk for a distance(around 5 M ), Walk back and forth counts as one rep, You can do 10 reps for 3 sets per section. Remember to drop the dumbbell slowly even you are feeling tried, It will be worst if it lands on your feet!
So there you have it, 3 workouts to improve your tattooing hours. Do these everyday and you can start to expect a difference within a month.
Keep growing,
